In my opinion, it is not the total number of hours the driver spends on the road, but how many continuous hours. It used to be that a driver could drive for 5 hours, take a minimum of 2 hours to rest and then drive for another 5 hours. Forcing the drivers to drive for 11 hours with out a major break is what is causing most of the driver fatigue. Give the driver a break, he is after all human!
